Weee i’m back! Did anyone miss me? =P I finally have internet which means I can finally start updating again. The only problem is that this is midterms week.. we’re being given too many projects and exams! x.x argh. Today I had to basically learn names of over 100 landmarks in our body!!! OMG… we had to be able to distinguish the right from left, know all the angles, anterior, posterior, medial, later stuff x.x ayy. Basically this Click Here. And you know what? That’s only two bones…. x.x. We were given a lot of bones. I only missed one question so I was happy lol. I stayed up until 1 am studying! O_O One of my classes is actually carrying over to Monday, so until then, I won’t be able to update much sorry. I also have a family Halloween party I need to go to on Saturday.
In my photography class we were discussing how much is too much retouching. This website is a good example. If you click on “portfolio” and then click on some of the celeb images and hover over them, you will see the before and after pictures. Some were changed wayy too much, but that’s just my opinion. What do you guys think?

yaaaay, Liz is back :) Glad you got your internet back, it was sad not having you around :) School does keep you busy, doesn’t it? I failed on my halloween stuff, surprise surprise. It’s been busy/bad last couple of weeks..but oh well.
Yea, designing for people gets to be a pain. I mean it’s fun, but it’s a pain lol. I was designing the layout for a pharmaceutical company, and the guy had my change the font/effects for the title soooo many times, and in the end picked something pretty plain lol. Drove me crazy. It’s cool though, you’re going to be great at your job; you know a lot of techniques and you’re still learning more. I really like your vectors btw, the’re pretty awesome :D

I wish I had some time to update … but I can’t. I too have been given a lot of tests and projects. I had 4 tests in one day! (Friday) x.x It was crazy, but I think I did okay on all of them, hopefully. :3 I hate feeling confident and then my result comes out what i didn’t quite expect. I can never study for a long time…. I always happen to procrastinate and find myself on my site, twitter or FB.
I second you on the whole retouchment of that portfolio. I can see what you mean by ‘too much retouching’ :P, but overall, they look amazing! :O

Hm. The portfolio… they are pretty pieces, it does however make me sad to see such… real people manipulated. But that is the nature of the media I suppose.

Wooooow, yeah I just checked out the site. They do a good job, but ughh… yeah I think they change it a bit too much. What annoys me is that the boobs are different in like every single edit. :p

Oh, those retouches are pretty nice in my opinion. I don’t think they are retouched too much. Most of them still look like the actual person. Which can’t be said for a lot of other retouchings on other websites. :P
