This will teach you to take a tiny image and turn it into a pretty blended background. Look at my example to the left. Create a similar image in your paint (4x4 pixels). It must be 4 pixels wide and 4 pixels tall. The example is zoomed in. To realize how small the image really is, click here. That's extremely tiny!

Next, save the image as a JPEG file or this will not work. Now that you have the image saved, go to File > Set as Background (Stretched). Go to your desktop view. There you have it! A pretty wallpaper that looks similar to the example at left.
