This tutorial is written by: Liz
With this tutorial, you will learn how to get a sort of rockish/dark effect for your image graphics.
Select any kind of image. I chose the one on the left. Now, click on this icon:
located on your pallate and select: selective color.
Make sure your settings are as followed:
Colors: reds, Cyan: -100%, Magenta: -100%, Yellow: -38, and Black: 100. Make sure absolute is checked. Do not click Ok yet!!
Now, on the "colors" part, select Blues and put these settings: -100%, -45, 53, 30 and make sure absolute is checked. Now, you can click ok.
Now click on this icon again
and this time, select color balance. Where it says "Tone Balance" slect Shadows and make sure preserve Luminosity is checked. Add the following color levels: -20, +60, +58. Now select Midtones: +53, +35, +1
Highlights: +37, -12, +3 and click ok.
Now click on this icon again
and this time go to Levels. Input: 0, 0.79, 255. Output: 0, 255.
Click on this icon again
and this time, select photo filter. Filter: Green at 18% Density and click ok.
Click the button again
and select brightness contrast: +11, +11.
Go to layers>> merge visible. Then go to Filter>> Sharpen >> Sharpen.
Your image should look something like the one on the left.
If you want to go even further, select the pen tool (Press P). Make sure your settings are like mine
. On your palatte, make sure you have Fill set to 0 and start tracing around the image.
Once you've made your line, click on this icon
located on your palatte and select Stroke. Set the size to 1 and slect a greenish color that matches with the image. Repeat this process again, but this time, select a different color. Add some text on the right, and you're done!
