001. Open up a new document. I would make it large because if you make it small it might look pixellated when you expand it to make it bigger. Make a shape. You can use brushes, the pen tool, you can even trace an image you want to make into vector shape. I used 6 randomly placed circles. Since I used multiple vector shapes to make my one vector shape, I have to merge them all together. So go to your layers window. Then click the top layer, then hit and hold the shift key and click the bottom layer (not the background if you had one) and then right click and click Merge Layers.
002. Your Layers window should look like the image to the left. Now you need to select your image. You can select the whole thing by holding the Ctrl key and clicking the icon to the left of the layer's name your shape is on. Now in order to make your image a path you need to go to yours Paths window. If it isn't open go to [Window >> Paths]. Click the arrow on the right on the paths tab ,
,
you should see Make Work Path.... Put your Tolerance to 0.5 and then click ok. You should now have a new layer in the Paths window.
003. Go to [ Edit >> Define Custome shape] name it then click ok. Click the shape icon,
, then click the squiggly shape and click the arrow to view more, scroll to the bottom and your shape should be there :D. Now click it and put it on your new document and your done!
