With this tutorial, you will learn how to make your font curve and fit the alignment of where you want it to be placed.
Open up a new layer. I made mine 200x200 pixels.
Now, select your pen tool:
Under segment type, make sure you have the freehand tool selected which is this one:
. Under mode, make sure the pencil is selected and make sure you have the following settings:

On your color palette, make sure you you have foreground with any color and the background is set to transparent.
Now, make any line form of line on the blank layer.
Now, select the text tool:
. For the settings, make sure that under "create as:" vector is selected, not selection or floating! Select your font, size, and/or stroke. Make sure to also set a background color on your palette.
Click on the corner of the line and start typing.
To remove the line, simply go to your layers and click on the eye of the shape layer. if you are unfamiliar as to which one is the shape layer, hover over the layers to see the previews.
This is how your final result should look like:
